Description: Length of thick gold wire of circular cross-section, with a fresh granular break at one end and roughly rounded at the other (possibly an old break). It is curved along its length, forming about half of a circle about 35mm in diameter. The outer surface of the curve is smooth but the inner has slight longitudinal facets, as if hammered to shape.  It is slightly crushed and bent at the rounded end, and the damage has caused cracking to the metal here. Dimensions: Unbent length 50mm, bent into half-circle measuring 32.1 x 37.9mm. Diameter of rod 4.1…
