An incomplete copper-alloy Roman vessel lid handle in the shape of a bird, possibly a duck. The legs and end of the beak are incomplete due to old breaks. The bird has a pointed oval-shaped three dimensional solid cast body with a flat underside. The neck projects from the body at not quite a 90 degree angle. The head is small and rounded with a tapering beak. The eye sockets are deeply recessed, one having a trace of enamel or glass present. Incised lines representing feathers are on the wings (very abraded) and the tail. The bird is 31mm in length, 11.5mm wide and 22mm in height…

A jar rim from a pipkin of 17th to 18th century date. Part of the body of the vessel survives beneath the rim and has a handle scar. The fabric could be red border ware but is possibly burnt. External rim diameter is 109.57, surviving height is 70.21.

An early Anglo Saxon copper alloy bucket mount, probably a rim mount and of Jean Cook type A3, that is bifurcated with animal head terminals (Cook, 2004, 37). Such buckets were mainly in use in the 6th century, buckets with bifurcated mounts are most common in the 'Anglican' North-east. This bucket mount has a central rectangular vertical shaft with an upper terminal which narrows and curves backwards , presumably to fit over the upper rim of the bucket. A possible vessel handle fragment, possibly used to pass the drop handle of a medieval vessel through and hold it in place, no parallel could be found. Cylindrical in shape and hollow, the outer face is decorated with incised cross-hatching. Measuring 12.69mm in length and 10.13mm in width, internal hole is 5.17mm in diameter.

A cast copper-alloy leg and foot fragment from a cooking vessel, 130-1600 in date. The leg is rectangular in shape and tapers towards the foot slightly, which is a continuation of the leg with a sloping base. The fragment has a patchy black patina due to exposture to an open fire. It measures 34.22mm in length and 17.83mm in width and is 8.41mm in thickness.

Worn copper-alloy cast cooking vessel foot and leg fragment, 1300-1600 in date. The leg fragment is rectangular in shape with a rectangular with rounded corners section, the leg tapers slightly in s short slightly upturned foot. There is a black patina due to exposture to an open fire. It measures 28.96mm in suriving length, 24.15mm in width and 13.97m in thickness.

Four cast copper-alloy cooking vessel fragments, 1300-1600 in date. 1: body sherd, blackened outer face due to exposture to fire, measuring 41.26mm by 33.51mm in size and 18.46g in weight. 2: Rim sherd, 39.27mm by 24.06mm in size and 17.40g in weight. 3:Rim sherd, 39.89mm by 30.18mm in size and 22.53g in weight. 4:Base fragment and leg, leg is short angled at 45 degrees from the base and tapers slightly towards its temrinal which is sloping. This base fragment measures 55.64mm by 30.45mm in size and the leg is 24.57mm in length and 15.15mm in width.
