Iron socketed arrowhead, possibly of medieval date The arrowhead is near-complete, heavily-corroded and is comparatively large (with a length of 92.2mm and with a weight of 38.3g). The socket is circular and widest at the mouth (with a diameter of 16.4mm – 18.2mm and a thickness of 1.8mm). The sides of the socket are straight and convergent, reaching a minimum diameter (of 9.5mm x 12.8mm) beneath the blade. There no obvious attachment holes through the socket. Earliest to Early Iron Age iron socketed axehead, probably of 8th to 5th century BC date The axehead is symmetrical in form and is incomplete, missing part of one face and side and is a small example (with a length of 88.6mm and a weight of 116.5g). The mouth appears to have been sub-rectangular (with a surviving external width and depth of 32mm and 27mm respectively and 3mm - 11mm thick). Medieval iron spearhead, probably of 13th or 14th century date The spearhead is near complete, missing only a small part of the socket base and has an overall length of 279mm. The socket is circular, becoming flat at the neck with an external diameter of 22.2mm (19.6mm internal). Slight damage near the base of the socket may have occurred around a single nail hole. The seam of the socket is open near the bottom and gradually converges, and is closed 75mm from the base. The socket has an internal depth of 91.5mm.
