Very worn fragment of a Medieval buckle frame, comprising a broad flat-sectioned outside edge with slight stumps of the narrow missing sides. The outside edge is arched outward towards the centre which has a broad shallow groove for a pin-rest. At each end of the face there is an incised saltire. Extant length 9mm. Width 36mm. 2mm thick. Weight 2.81g.13th century.

Unusually narrow medieval composite copper alloy strap-end . Both front and back plates are riveted by two copper alloy rivets to a full-width spacer above a terminal with pairs of opposed lobes which give it the appearance of a stylised animal-head. The plates are broken above the upper end of the spacer. Extant length (unbent) 36.5mm. Width 8mm. Thickness 1.5mm. Weighs 2.54g. Fragment of a copper alloy late Iron Age or Roman brooch. Only the lower half of the brooch survives. The bow is narrow, D-sectioned, the face with a transverse groove at the foot forming the foot knob. Onthe reverse is a sub triangular catch-plate with a rolled outer edge. The surface of the metal is corroded with a worn break. Length 27mm. Width 3mm. Thickness 2mm. Weight: 1.33g. Possible Colchester derivative. c. AD 25-120.
