Incomplete and distorted medieval gilt copper alloy stud or mount, probably from harness. The flat face is decorated with a plain border, within which, reserved on the remains of a field of decayed greenish enamel, is a central quatrefoil set within four elaborate foils. Specks of guilding survive on the face. The reverse has a central integral sub-circular-sectioned rivet with pointed terminal. Diameter c. 36mm. Length/thickness, including rivet, 11mm (rivet only 9.7mm). Weighs 6.67g. c.1250 - 1400.

Medieval copper alloy cruciform harness mount for the suspension of a pendant. Three arms end in lobed terminals next to rivet holes, at the junction of the arms is a rectangular panel from the base of which springs a slotted projection, folded onto the reverse to form suspension loops for the missing pendant, with its terminal secured by an integral rivet on the reverse of the mount. A larger version of an example from London (N. Griffiths in Clark 1995, 69, no. 75). Width 66mm. Height 49mm. Thickness 4mm. Weight 14.98g. Later 13th - 14th century.

Medieval copper alloy horse harness suspension mount for a (missing) pendant, cruciform with an integral rivet on the reverse of the upper and side arms, the lower arm is bifurcated and transversely pierced to form two loops containing the corroded remains of an iron pin. The arms are trangular-sectioned with a lengthwise longitudinal arris on the face of each. Traces of tinning survive on the face. Height 38mm. Width 32mm. 4-6mm thick. Weighs 17.20g. 12th-13th century.

Medieval enamelled copper alloy elaborate armorial quatrefoil stud (34 x 34mm, weighs 11.18g) from harness, worn and corroded, and now missing the surface treatment of the metal (tinning or gilding). There is a short integral spike for attachment on the reverse (length 8mm). Although damaged, much of the enamelled decoration survives. Blazon: Azure three bends ?Or/?Argent on a chief Gules three fleurs-de-lis ?Or/?Argent. The arms have not been identified, they are not listed in DBA (Woodcock, Grant and Graham 1996). 14th-15th century.

Worn and decayed fragment of a circular medieval gilt copper alloy repousse stud or mount, probably from harness. Less than a quarter of the face survives, with a central boss and one surviving tapering vertical arm of a probable cross. The broken upper end has a small scrolled element, perhaps part of a fleur-de-lis or floriate terminal. A probable bird, close to dexter, occupies the extant quadrant of the disc, on the remains of a field of (now) whitish decayed enamel.
