Medieval lead seal matirx, lozenge/diamond shaped bearing, in its centre an incised motif depiction what appears to be a spear head. This is surrounded by incised lozenge shaped line round which is an inscription: S' ROG ' ERIN+ the letters oddly not being reversed as is usual in a seal matrix. As the lettering is incuse it cannot be argued that this is seal impresson. The back of matrix is slightly keeled and, on its lower end is a lug, 6.8 x 4.2mm x 2.0mm high, its top apparently slightly expanded, there is no indication that it was a loop. Celtic silver coin of the Corieltauvi, British North Eastern type. The obverse bears a stylised horse, facing left, it has no mane and a long, simple, tail. Above the horse is a ring of pellets. Four further, individual pellets, each set within a raised ring, are placed above the horse's tail, under its belly, in front of its chest and above its head. Beneath the horse is a line of small pellets. On the reverse is the figure of a boar at 6 o'clock, little detail can be seen of this suggesting that it was struck from a very worn die. Cast copper alloy brooch of 'Dragonesque' type with enamel inlay, the colours are difficult to determine owing to the presence of coloured corrosion products, yellow is present, perhaps with blue and red. The decoration is champleve consisting of a central four petal motif set within a square box. To either side of this is are converging bars forming triangular fields each terminating in a ring. Each of the fields contains a shaped, raised area. The ends of the brooch are missing
