An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman horse brooch. The brooch is in the shape of a stylised horse with Romano-British styled decoration in the form of blocks of enamel, but has a realistic shaped head, if slightly simplified. The head has a circular cell representing an eye. There is a moulded mane, but with no fine detail of the hair, instead there is a slender cell which was originally filled with enamel, and is further decorated with fine obliquely angled ridges along on the upper edge of the cell. A fragment of a cast copper alloy branched double socket candlestick. Only a fragment of the candlestick branch remains. The branch, in plan is a wide ‘V’ shape, and the branch is a pointed oval with rounded edges in section. The width of one branch expands slightly in width, whereas the other branch tapers slightly in width. The surface of the branch has a mottled mid green/grey patina. A probable cast copper alloy cooking vessel foot. In plan it is a sub-rectangle with an asymmetrical rounded foot. In profile the reverse of the leg is straight whereas the front face is slightly domed and undulating. In section the leg is an elongated semi-circle. The upper edge of the leg is broken, this may not be a recent break. The surface has traces of a heavy grey/green patina, but the surface has possibly been over cleaned. An incomplete cast copper alloy Post Medieval dress hook or fastening. The body of the dress hook is sub-oval in plan with stamped decoration on the upper surface. The decoration consists of a border of annulets with crescents and blocks of fine ribbing within. The upper tip of the body has an incomplete circular perforation. A rim fragment of a wheelmade ceramic vessel. The rim is slightly bulbous and ‘n’ shaped in profile. The core and interior is a light grey and the exterior is a mottled grey/brown colour. The fabric has frequent, hard, angular, grey geological inclusions of varied size. The sherd weighs 14.48g. The fabric is probably Malvernian Ware dating to the 2nd to 4th centuries. A handle fragment of a ceramic vessel, possibly a jug. The handle is rectangular in plan, with both terminals being broken and it is curved in profile. The fabric is orange throughout and has frequent small white quartz inclusions. It is slightly micaceous. The exterior surface has traces of a red slip with traces of a mottled green/yellow glaze. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman bracelet. The bracelet is a distorted pennannular in plan with one terminal forming a small out-turned hook, the other terminal is a broken edge. This break is not recent. In profile the bracelet is an elongated rectangle, which is decorated on the exterior with multiple motifs. These motifs consist of a block of transverse grooves, a block with a horizontal linear groove with a row of ring and dot designs either side. A rim sherd of a Roman Samian Ware vessel. The rim is profile is a sub-‘n’ shape with the exterior of the rim leaning outwards slightly. The interior has a small horizontal cordon below the rim. In profile the wall of the vessel is only slightly convex on the exterior and concave on the interior. The broken edges of the sherd are quite fresh. It weighs 2.9g. An incomplete probable knapped mottled light to mid matte brown flint or chert scraper. The scraper is sub-oval in plan. The dorsal surface has two large, parallel negative flake scars with re-touching along the lower rounded edge. The ventral surface has a single negative flake scar which is convex, but due to a recent break the bulb of percussion and striking platform are missing. It measures 32.65mm long and 37.34mm wide. It weighs 12.5g. The scraper is probably prehistoric, possibly dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age (-3500 to -1500).

A possible cannon ball made from cast iron. It is spherical and is 40.08mm diameter. It weighs 216g (7 ¾ ozs). The surface of the ball is corroded and flaking. A cannon ball weighing 8ozs was fired from a Robinet cannon, which the recorded example may be. These type of cannons were used in the 17th century (Blackmore 1990 Arms and Armour of the English Civil Wars, Royal Armouries p. 83).
