Openwork or complex type (Maslin S 2021, page 3) The mount has a bi-lobed, openwork plate giving it a shape similar to a double-looped buckle frame. The lobes are oval with pointed, expanded, outer ends and crescent-shaped apertures. The outer ends are decorated with moulded curlicues. The outer edges of the lobes are scalloped. A two disc lead cloth seal. The seal is formed of two oval discs joined by an integral rivet on the rear decorated disc passing through a circular hole in the other disc. One disc is moulded with a design of a probable crowned portcullis within a beaded border and surrounded by a legend, now largely illegible. At each side where the neck meets the body is a lozengiform cross sectioned side loop, both of which are distorted. The opening at the top of the neck is squashed. An incomplete and broken pocket sundial. It comprises a now broken copper alloy band in two pieces, originally circular. It lacks the usual separately applied copper alloy loop which would have been set into the a central recessed groove runs around the circumference of the exterior of the band.
