Copper alloy ring brooch; hexagonal with concave edges; ring sub-triangular in section, reverse flat and undecorated; sides sloping with notches cut into metal at regular intervals giving an angular beaded effect; on the angled inside surface, between each of the notches are a series of circular drilled recesses which would have originally taken glass or paste insets; a copper alloy sheet metal pin of D-shaped section is secured around a constriction in the brooch frame; metal corroded.

Copper alloy disc brooch of Kershaw's East Anglian series. Flat circular plate, damaged and severely corroded; stub of both pin-lug and catch-plate on reverse; decoration on front cast in relief, consists of a central concave-sided cross with central circular recess; the four cross arms degenerate into a continuos double-contoured ring-chain interlace pattern around the periphery of the plate; this example which stylistically represents an Anglo-Scandinavian version of the Viking Borre style has several East Anglian parallels, cf. BUR 023, published in SIAH 1995

Cylindrical copper alloy handle with an internal iron core; pierced suspension lug at one end with a wire loop still in place; handle decorated with a series of concentric mouldings consisting of 3 rounded knops separated by raised billeted collars, paired at the upper end; below the lowermost of the mouldings the metal narrows to a tapering shank; of square section at the top and sub-circular section below; from the latter protrudes an iron core which has stained the surrounding copper-alloy with corrosion; presumably this represents the remains of a shank or shaft for a tool or implement.

Fragment of a copper alloy bracelet; flat band of metal, no signs of tapering either in width or thickness; reverse plain though patina suggests heavily worn; obverse decorated with outer billeted borders which enclose a central row of billeting 2mm wide. This example was included in Crummy 2005 as an example of her Group B (with one central band of decoration) or possibly C (with three bands of decoration) (Crummy 2005, 99, 104; no. 47).

Cast copper alloy terminal or finial in the form of a beast's (dragon or serpent) head' ; behind the head the neck extends as a curving bar of metal of sub-circular section which tapers regularly towards the breakage point which indicates an oval cross section; the profiled head is finely executed with a pair of swept-back triangular ears, large bulging lentoid eyes and a large gaping mouth; between the jaws is a sub-triangular piercing, the corners of the mouth carry engraved scrolls which are also used to represent nostrils at the snout; a flat transverse section of metal which joins…

Copper alloy shield-shaped horse-harness pendant; pierced suspension lug at top edge, front face decorated with a heraldic device consisting of a stag defined by engraved outer borders inlaid with niello? Apart from the prominent antlers which are themselves engraved and inlaid with red enamel, a possible reading is: Or, a stag trippant (or?) attired gules; these particular Arms are not listed though it could be that this device was used as a badge.

Copper alloy heraldic stud; shield-shaped plate, slightly curving in profile; reverse has an integral attachment rivet of sub-circular section, the end of which has been hammered flat to hold the stud in place; front decorated with a heraldic design consisting of a chequered pattern inlaid with red enamel; all surface finish has been lost though it is most likely that this stud originally bore the arms of the Warrene family (Chequey, Or and Gules) who held extensive lands in Norfolk and Suffolk.
