Corroded copper-alloy buckle or brooch frame, of unusual type. The frame is circular (if now bent), with a tall rectangular cross-section. The top of the frame has decoration of a groove containing a beaded ridge, which has worn or corroded away in many places.  There is a rectangular notch or recess on the reverse at either side, to hold a now-missing separate bar. Two projections, one at either outside edge, are both bent upwards to form hooks; one is then broken (worn break) but the other is tightly bent back on itself to end in an animal head which looks back towards the…

Very corroded flat axehead of early Bronze Age date. Apart from the corrosion and total loss of surface, it appears complete. The butt is 27.5mm wide, and the axe then flares with very gently concave edges for most of its length. Close to the other end it flares out in a more noticeable curve, to rounded corners and a gently curving cutting edge which is 53.6mm wide. The cross-section flares from 2-2.5mm thick at the butt to a maximum of 13.0mm thick in the centre. The axehead is 88.5mm long and weighs 223g. Copper-alloy object consisting of a circular-section rod c. 7mm in diameter, with worn ends which appear to originally have been squared off, not broken. One end might have been cut or otherwise shaped into three facets. It is shaped into a loose ring, originally perhaps c. 50-60mm in external diameter, but one end (the one with three possible facets) has been bent backwards to wrench the ring out of shape. Its unbent length is c. 200mm and it weighs 48.9g. This object was found on the same field as a small hoard of Bronze Age items (2021T771) but it cannot be positively identifi…
