Cast copper-alloy tubular spout in the shape of a dog's head. The spout was made separately from the body of the ewer, and has now become detached. The attachment edge is long and U-shaped in cross-section. Although it has filemarks and solder on the edge, the U-shape is so narrow that it is hard to see how it could have sat securely on the body of the ewer. The neck curves up sharply from the lower edge and down gently from the upper edge. The dog's head is very stylised, with rectangular moulded ears and a moulded snout. There are no engraved details. The open jaws hold the cy…

Small glass fragment, 3 mm thick and curved in two planes; therefore part of a globular rather than a cylindrical vessel. The basic colour is a translucent dusty pale pinkish-purple, within which are narrow oblique white strands. Inlaid onto the surface are three opaque white stripes which taper from 2 mm to 1 mm wide. Hugh Willmott has seen a scan and has identified it as Venetian and early to mid 16th century, probably part of the lower body of a stemmed goblet. These goblets are usually in colourless or more infrequently in blue, both with opaque white stripes, so the pinkish tin…

Fragment of rim from a cast copper-alloy vessel. The interior is smoothly polished, and the exterior is rougher with many tiny holes. At the very top of the exterior is a slim broken edge, as if a projecting flange has been broken away. The breaks are fairly fresh; one break incorporates a large casting void.

Cast copper-alloy vessel leg, pentagonal in section. It tapers from 10 mm wide and 13 mm thick at the top to 7 mm wide and 10 mm thick at the 'ankle', where it turns to form a foot. There is a ridge across the two front faces of the 'ankle'. There is a deep void in the broken top. Total surviving length, 45 mm. These legs can be from ewers (jugs for holding water) or from skillets (saucepans with three legs).

Chunky mount, probably from a vessel, made from silvered and gilded copper alloy. It consists of a sub-rectangular plate and a hook that might have fitted over the vessel's rim; both curve down their long axis to fit around a globular vessel wall, and both combine to form a stylised animal. The plate is 20 mm wide at most, and 23 mm long. It has rounded corners and a slightly concave curve to the long sides. It is decorated with slightly angular symmetrical triple-strand interlace around four circular perforations; the two furthest away from the animal's head may have been function…
