Pottery disc, 24 mm in diameter and 5 mm thick, perhaps a counter or playing piece. One face has a large incuse letter D, with VIII in smaller lettering below. The fabric is a fine red earthenware with ferrous inclusions; this type of fabric could have been made almost anywhere in England, so gives little help in identification. The inscription could be deciphered as eight pennyweight, but in fact the disc weighs 4.47g, which is 2.87 dwt. Probably post-medieval.

Unidentified copper-alloy object. One end has a long pyramidal terminal, tapering from a maximum cross-section of 4 x 3.5 mm. Below the widest point the object then tapers again slightly to a collar, below which its cross-section is circular. The circular shaft tapers quite quickly and is bent into a loop; it ends at a globular terminal. The object is quite worn and corroded, but it appears to be complete, and the bend does not appear to have caused any stress to the metal. Date and function unknown, but it does not appear to be modern. Unbent length c. 45 mm; existing length 23 mm.

One end is basically rectangular, 32.5 x 27 mm, and each long side of this rectangle has a central V-shaped cut-out flanked by semi-circular cut-outs. Each face is decorated with 19-20 unevenly spaced ring-and-dot motifs. Unidentified object made from copper alloy. It is a hollow square in cross-section, flaring from 8 mm square at one end to 13 mm square at the other. The narrower end is undecorated for 19 mm, then there is a concave moulding around all four sides flanked by ridges. The wider end then has a double ridge which is cut across on each face by four grooves. The total length is 34 mm. Date and function unknown.

Fragment of cast copper alloy. The fragment is curved, with two parallel bands of rounded convex moulding on the exterior; both bands have damage to them (hammer marks) and between these the metal is rough. The interior has a series of parallel flat facets, striations and hollows, set perpendicular to the mouldings on the exterior. Gilded copper-alloy oval disc, now very corroded, measuring 39 x 35 mm. Very slightly convex, it is decorated on the outer face with a border of circular stamps, running all of the way around the edge and enclosing seven transverse rows of similar stamps. There are no stamps at the top - at least one if not two rows are missing - and here there is a roughly cut, or perhaps worn, oblique oval hole. Unidentified object. Made from lead, it is roughly circular but all its edges may be broken. It is slightly dished, and on the convex face is a raised circle 13 mm in diameter in which is a relief mark, perhaps a W with a horizontal line through it, or perhaps a pair of Xs. On the concave face, opposite the mark, is a sunken square measuring 3 x 5 mm. It has been suggested that this might be the base of a pewter vessel, and Roman, but no parallel has been found.

Unidentified object made from copper alloy. It is the shape of a modern split pin, with an expanded loop 11 mm wide. The cross-section at the loop is 5 mm wide and flat, but as the loop tapers into the shafts the cross-section becomes narrower and thicker before flattening again to the now bent and distorted points. Length as now bent, 44 mm. The condition of the metal is peculiar; pale grey with orange patches, it looks almost like iron but does not react to a magnet. Date unknown; possibly modern.

At one end is a flattish loop 12.5 mm in diameter with a central perforation 7.5 mm in diameter; the top of this loop appears to be externally worn. An arched bar springs from the base of this loop, hexagonally facetted in cross-section; this flares slightly from 6 mm wide at the top to 8 mm wide at the bottom. The reverse is undecorated. Both faces are very rough, due to corrosion bubbles or encrustations. The edges are equally rough and corroded and may possibly be broken.
