Lead cap from a powder-holder or powder-measure, which held a single charge of gunpowder for a musket. The two small loops held a cord which was used to tie the powder-holder onto the musketeer's belt. This one is a little squashed but the closed end measures about 17 x 19 mm. It has not been weighed as it remains full of concreted earth.
