Chain of 9 links, each end attached to a hooked fastener. Each link is formed from a piece of flat copper-alloy strip 3.5 to 4.5 mm wide bent into an S shape. One half of the S is linked into both halves of the previous link; the other half links into one half of the previous link and one half of the next link. So each half passes through two link-halves, either from a single link or from two links. This makes a strong but not particularly flexible construction.
