An incomplete early post-medieval silver gilt dress hook of Read's Class D, Type 6 (trefoil), dating to c. 1500 - 1600; it is missing its separately soldered recurved hook and has damage to one of its bosses. The object comprises a gilded trefoil base-plate 0.5mm thick, the edges of which are notched, surmounted by three hemispherical gilded bosses flanked by a solid encircling rib around each base. A late Iron Age/ Roman (300 BC - AD 410) copper alloy ring, probably from harness. It has a circular cross-section, thicker to one side than the other and with a small area of wear to one place on the inside surface (suggesting suspension; there is no corresponding wear at the opposite edge). The metal is a bluey-grey green in colour with light pitting to the surface patina (otherwise smooth), and with several patches missing. It measures 19.0x18.5mm, the inside measuring 11.3x10.6mm. The thicker part of the ring measures 4.5x4.4mm, the thinner 3.8x3.7mm. The object weighs 3.87g.

There is significant damage to one face, along an edge and reaching to the butt end; some damage extends from this to the opposite face. A copper alloy probable fragment of an early post-medieval (1500-1700) strap-fitting, perhaps a sword belt fitting. The fragment is lozenge-shaped with an incomplete rivet hole at one corner (c.2mm diameter) and a possible break at the opposing corner. The reverse is flat and decorated while the opposite face has a raised design of a bud between leaves, two of which are larger than the others and curl under at their ends (these at the widest point of the object, between the undamaged corners). The object measures 9.8mm in length, 12.1mm in width, 2.2mm in thickness and weighs 0.70g.

A copper alloy medieval (c.1250-1450) two-piece strap-end, with an angled closed end possibly missing a projecting knop. It consists of two plates held together with a single central rivet at the open end (1.2mm in diameter). The strap end wides from 9.2mm wide at the closed end to 11.9mm at the open end, where the two plates are slightly offset from each other. Overall the strap-end measures 20.5mm long and 2.8mm in max.thickness (at the open end; the closed end is 1.4mm thick). The object weighs 1.67g. The metal is a mid-green in colour and heavily pitted.
