Narrow, cast copper-alloy strip mount. Both edges of the strip are made up of a series of fan-shapes. In between each 'fan', positioned where the fan-shapes begin to fan out from the main body of the strip, is a small circular hole. A few of these circles are incomplete - it appears that some of the 'fan' shapes have broken and are no longer adjoined to form complete holes. There are 6 'fans' along one side of the strip and 5 along the other. Along both edges of the main body of the strip (before the point where the 'fans' begin) run a pair of parallel lines. Both sets are positioned …

The mount is a long and thin strip of copper-alloy. One end is oval. There are four rivet holes on the obverse side. These are aligned centrally along the length of the strip. Two of the rivet holes are found in close proximity to each other near the oval end of the strip. The other two rivet holes are placed about 5/6ths of the way up the strip (moving away from the oval end), and are set slightly further apart than the other two. The rivet hole farthest from the oval end is roughly half the size of the other three. There are two horizontal lines, forming a band across the strip, whi…

The object as a whole is tear-shaped in plan, formed of a band curving round at one end and terminating in a sub-oval lobe. Roughly a fifth of the way along the object (moving away from the lobe) are two fat, tear-shaped protrusions placed either side of the object, where the object begins to falre out to form the tear-shape, and positioned at roughly 45 degree angles from the main body of the object. There are a further two longer, narrower tear-shaped protrusions placed one on each side of the 'tear' r…
