Grey lead weight. Lead cast domed object with dimple. The source record suggests a late medieval to post-medieval date. The onion-domed form and the mass may both, however, suggest this to be a Viking age weight representing one ora/ore, the Viking equivalent to the ounce. Suggested date: possibly Early Medieval, 850-1000

Fragment of an Anglo-Saxon lead disc brooch. Less than half survives. The drawing shows decoration of three rings of small pellets, around a concentric ridge, then a gap between these borders and the central motif. The central motif starts with a further ring of small pellets, around a cross motif made up of two strands of smaller, more closely spaced pellets. One arm of the cross survives and there appears to be infill between the arms of more pellets including perhaps a single larger one in the centre of the best-surviving quarter.
