Fragment of a square headed brooch, triangular outline, chip-carved, gilt, worn.
The image attached to this record is indeed of a triangular chip-carved object, but it is a gusset plate rather than a square-headed brooch. Gusset plates are also early Anglo-Saxon, 6th century AD, but are worn on the sleeve with a pair of wrist-clasps.

Circular mount from a processional cross, decorated on both sides. Main side with applied sitting St. John the evangelist, winged, haloed, with manuscript. Very three dimensional.
