Cast copper alloy, Roman, minaiature votive axe. The head of the axe has been decorated on both sides around the edge with a triangular punch. The shaft is round in section with a flattened swelling at the junction with the head, this also displays punch marks.

Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, flat and pointed-oval in shape. Flat undecorated reverse. A flat crescentic or semi-circular lug projects from the top corner, and has a circular perforation. The engraved central motif is a bold fleur-de-lis with a flaring central stem with a small projection below. The inscription is set between plain line borders, and reads +S. ROB'. FIL'. AL'. PILAT (Seal of Rob[ert] son of Al[an] Pilat). The engraving is chunky and very well formed. 13th century. Roughly rectangular bar with rounded ends and of uneven thickness. Decorated on one side with a pair of raised transverse bars at the centre and a similar bar to either side. Between the inner and out bars and at the ends is an incised V. This is probably a fragment of something larger. Appears to be of medieval date.

Small Polden Hill type Roman bow brooch. Semi-tubular crossbar with pierced expanded terminal lugs decorated with a milled rib around each arm. The spring is missing. Scar of the rearward hook present on the top of the head. Bow decorated with median grooved rib. The lower bow and catchplate are missing. This example does not have the characteristic oval moulding to either side of the head.

Small cast copper-alloy flask-shaped vessel, with pair of handles or suspension loops at the neck. Thickened rim around the mouth of the vessel. It contains organic fibrous material. The finder commented that the flask was sealed with a hard clay plug when found. A parallel for this vessel found in Surrey (SUR-FA2AB0) was inscribed with 'OLEVM CHRISM' which suggests it contained one of the three holy oils used in the medieval church. Large example of a Colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch (the Dolphin, flat wing ends type), Mackreth 2011, 4.l. Plate 48. Typical oval mouldings to either side of the head forming which extend beneath the head forming a bulgea bulge; rearward facing hook holds the chord of the spring which is housed in the semi-cylindrical head with perforated end lugs supporting the axis bar. Hook piece of an Anglo-Saxon wrist clasp, three attachment holes along the rear edge, central hook on front edge. Top part of a clicker cast in lead alloy. This is rectangular with rounded corners and a right-angled flange around one end, which extends for about one third the length. The top is moulded with frog (viewed from above). Identified by Jim Halliday. Post-medieval, probably C19th/early C20th. An exact parallel was found at Hintlesham, Suffolk and reported to the PAS, Find ID SF10571. An example bearing a male figure was found in Lancashire (E83DD3).

Roman 'Wirral' type bow brooch. Bow of semi-oval section decorated on its flat front surface with a rectangular panel containing three long strips that would have originally been infilled with coloured enamel but are now empty. The bow has a groove down each edge. There is also a pair of parallel horizontal grooves immediately below the decorative panel.
