Sheet copper-alloy vessel repair in two separate elements. Flat, rectangular sheet with rounded corners and a rectangular slot 28.5 x 1mm at the centre. Within the slot is the remains of a large sheet copper-alloy 'paper-clip' rivet used to hold the repair in place.

18 x sherds hard sandy/orange/grey fabric pottery, from a minimum of two tall jugs with thumbed bases, one cooking pot, one other possible jug and one bowl/dish with splashes of olive green glaze on the interior. This pottery probably representsthe contents, or part of the contents of a domestic rubbish pit. All the sherds are contemporary and show little sign of post-depositional abrasion and w eathering which would be expected had the pottery been found in a ploughed field, for example.
