Copper-alloy two-part dog collar stud? Sub-square base with concave sides. Conical, square-sectioned spike (22mm long), through centre, with circular-sectioned stud , now bent, on reverse. Rivet hole in each corner of the base; three rounded rivets intact. The upper surface of the base has engraved leaf-shaped motifs, between horizontal and vertical bands of lines. Much surface gilding survives. Red/brown dull patina. L: 26.5 Base dims.: 18.5 x 18.5 Wt: 8.47g

Fragment, sheet copper-alloy mount? Originally circular with a slightly domed centre. Three broad wheel-cut grooves of varying thickness provide an outer border. The area between the outer border and the raised centre is decorated with incised foliate designs and the area surrounding this is cross-hatched forming diamonds. There is a rivet through this decorative field with a large circular flat head and a broken circular-sectioned shaft. Heavy gilding survives well on the upper surface. The outer edges are thicker. The inner edges are badly damaged

Cast lead mount. Circular, with moulded relief decoration on the upper surface in the form of a lion's head within a plain border. Beyond the outer border, the edge is slightly bevelled. There is the trace of an iron fitting at the top of the upper surface and a further iron fitting through the centre of the reverse surface, although this is incomplete. The reverse is flat. Cast copper-alloy boar’s head fitting. Stylised boar’s head with neatly moulded small ears, short mane and flat snout. The jaws and tusks are incised on either side. The long face is sub-triangular with slightly convex sides in section. No trace of the eyes survives. The broken end representing the neck is narrow and oblong in section. There is a long rectangular shank with a rectangular –section cast integrally with the boar’s head at the bottom centre. There is a large circular perforation at the lower end of the shank. Cast copper-alloy mount. Sub-rectangular with one pointed end and the other end is concave with a semi-circle cut-out. The upper and lower surfaces are flat, but the sides have two elements, resulting in a total of six sides. There is a very large circular-sectioned copper-alloy rivet with flattened ends close to the pointed end. The other end, which is broken, is also likely to have held a large rivet.

The eyes are not depicted. The neck is stamped with ‘C’-shaped motifs. The back of the neck follows a diagonal line and is flat. Iron corrosion at the base of the neck, perhaps indicating an iron core.
