A complete but broken into two fragments, Early Post Medieval, cast, copper alloy, one piece, unclassified sword or dagger belt toggle-hasp. Convex moulded relief eye-section, a sub-semi circular aperture and sub-circular eye with a smaller circular suspension loop. There are a series of convex transverse ridges and collars. The two small rivet holes retain rust from separate iron rivets. Little wear with an attractive dark green patina but recently broken possibly by agricultural machinery or damaged by the finder. Multifoil lobed, oval shaped almost scallop shaped knops on each loop. The strap bar is narrowed but minus the tongue. There is a hot metal shrinkage recess on the back of the frame.
