A Medieval, cast, copper-alloy, D-shaped buckle. It has an expanded forward edge with a central, pointed lip and slightly offset strap bar, flanked by knop terminals. The copper-alloy pin is intact. Similar buckles to this are known from Early Medieval contexts, but they are very rare. This type of buckle is more typical of the 13th-15th century.

A Roman, cast lead pot mend. The pot mend consists of two, flattened, irregular discs with a narrow, integrally-cast neck between them. Sandwiched between the discs are fragments of gritty, dark brown pottery which is similar to pottery sherds from the same area that date to the Roman period AD 43 - 410.

A complete, cast, copper-alloy hooked tag of post-medieval date. The main plate is oval and decorated with a moulded floral design. A rectangular attachment loop projects from the top edge and, from the opposite edge, the hook projects from a tri-lobed collar. The hook is bent. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated. A similar example is seen in Read, page 96, no. 355

An incomplete, 1st Century AD, griffin-headed terminal from a fixed vessel handle. The original vessel would have had a mirror image terminal on the opposite side, joined by an omega-shaped handle. Only the stub of the handle survives on this example and the head of the griffin is also missing. The front face of the terminal is decorated with punched crecents possibly representing the feathers on the neck of the creature. A Medieval silver penny of Stephen, 'lozenge fleury and annulets' type, BMC IV, struck on a square flan with chamfered corners. The coin is incomplete, with a piece of the flan missing and only one or two letters legible. The two known mints of this issue are Lincoln and Nottingham. A large fragment of a silver penny of Henry I. York mint, moneyer LAISING. Annulets type. BMC 1. The coin has been broken in half and the reverse is highly polished. Both effects are probably the result of the action of farm machinery. As the break is along both arms of the reverse cross, the coin may have, originally, been folded in half.
