Modern copper alloy livery button with white metal coating. The circular button has a design on the front of Two Dragons head addorsee. This is the crest of the Carlile family, perhaps the closest to the findspot is William Walter Carlile Esquire who lived at Gayhurst House in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire from 1882. Such livery buttons were most popular in the 19th century.

Church of England Temperance Society medal, double faced with suspension loop. The obverse depicts Saint George slaying the dragon surrounded by the legend "CHURCH OF ENGLAND TEMPERANCE SOCIETY". The reverse depicts a book held open by a sceptre and surmounted by a crown. The pages bear the inscription "WHETHER THEREFORE YE EAT OR DRINK, WHATSOEVER YE DO, DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD". The inscription on the reverse is from 1st Corinthians chapter 10 verse 31. The Society was founded in 1862.

Part of a hollow cast lead alloy toy gun, designs remain on it but are to difficult to make out with any certainty. A flash pan for putting in and igniting gunpowder remains so presumably this was a working model. The barrel appears incomplete

A stamped gilded copper alloy mount with Queen Victoria's head as a centre piece surrounded by four semi cicular plates with significant dates/moments of her life noted on them. The top semi circular plate is holed so that this mount can be attached to something else for display purposes. The lower plate has the words Victoria Jubilees and the latest date of 1887

A silver cup shaped fitting from the end of a cane or parasol. The hallmarks indicate London 1909 and the RD stamp is probably indicates the maker of the silver. The L & Co is for Loewe & Co, 58, Haymarket, London who are probably the cane & parsol makers. The fiting is undecorated.

Lead bag seal marked with ANGLO CONTINENTAL GUANO WORKS LTD & on the reverse LONDON. The usual cornucopia trade mark is missing as is reference to LEEDS. An earlier or later version maybe subsequent to the Fisons takeover in 1937? Anglo-Continental, originally Ohlendorff & Co., had been founded in 1873, and remained a German company until the First World War, when it was reconstituted under British control. It was taken over in 1937 by Fisons Ltd. and closed in 1946.

The following is information was contributed by John Sullivan, St Andrews University. "They are intriguing because they fall into a very small group of such flax and hemp bundle seals which have no date on them (but are probably late 18th-early 19th century). Five other such seals are known to me, four from Scotland and one in Bristol museum [BRSMG: O 1749]. The seals are unusual because they carry on each side one of the names of the Quality Control Officers responsible for grading the flax or hemp, and it is known that such officers worked in pairs.
