A medieval copper alloy strap end made up of two sheet metal leaves joined at the tip and secured by a single rivet at the other end. This end is too badly eroded to be certain of the original shape. The terminal is trtrilobed and the faces are plain.

A late Early Medieval copper alloy strap end circa AD 850-1100. The attachment end is split and there is one rivet hole which still contains the copper alloy rivet. The object is decorated with two transverse molded bands between which there is an incised ellipse that may have held niello. The terminal is in the form of a round nosed beast with an incised V shape to denote the ears. The reverse is undecorated.

An early medieval copper alloy strap end. The sub rectangular plate that fitted the end to the belt has two rivets one above the other. Below this the strap end narrows abruptly into a simply deliniated animal head. This is in the form of a deeply cut chevron and a moulded triangle. The elongated teardrop shaped terminal could be interpreted as the animal's tongue. Two opposing strips of copper alloy looped through an oval 'ring' and folded back on themselves. One end is cut off at a right angle and the other is broken on one side and ends in a point on the other. There is a copper alloy rivet through this section.

An incomplete, late Roman, amphora shaped, copper alloy strap end. Both sides of the object are decorated with ring and dot patterns and one face has a lozenge shape picked out in a double row of punched dots. The upper half of the strapend has broken off at the holes that attached it to the belt. It is not possible to be sure whether the strap end had a pair of kidney shaped holes or plain circular ones to rivet it to the belt.

A copper alloy strapend with a trefoil shaped knop. The plates are still riveted together, though the rivets are not visible. A fragment of the leather strap is preserved in situ. It is not clear whether there is a metal spacer between the plates. The front plate of the strap end has a roughly incised design consisting of a cross a saltire and plain lines.

A copper-alloy, Thomas Class B, Type 2 strap-end with a Trewhiddle-style relief design. The strap-end is split in two for about a third of the way down, to take the leather or textile of the strap; one of the two rivets hole broken. Just below the two rivet holes is a pelta or fan shape. The panel below this has an indistinct animal, with its back along the right hand side of the strapend. A damaged center spacer of a composite strap-end. The spacer consists of a circular main part 16mm across with a 7mm diameter hole. One side of the object has a collared, pointed knop. Opposite this is a roughly rectangular tab from which the, now missing, forked part of the spacer springs. Strap-ends of this type are normally dated to the 14th or early 15th century.
