A medieval quatrefoil shaped harness pendant, flat with a small circular suspension loop and dating from the late 13th - 14th century. The now largely sunken design shows, on a blue enamel ground, two figures either side of a three branched tree. To the right, when viewed, a hunter has just loosed his arrow, which can be seen having sticking through a stag's neck, the stag running away, to the left of the tree. A copper alloy horse harness pendant of Medieval date. The pendant is circular in plan. Its suspension loop extends upwards from the top of the pendant and is pierced horizontally. The pendant is incomplete with part of the lower section missing. The nature of any surface detail is unclear due to corrosion. Several pendants bearing similar forms are illustrated by Ashley (2002: 18: Fig. 20, Cat. 183-88) and Griffiths in Clark (1995: 65 Fig. 47, Cat. 57). Parallels may also be drawn with BH-13BBA1. Horse harness pendants of this type are generally thought to date from the 14th century.…

A copper alloy horse harness pendant of Medieval date. The pendant is cruciform in plan with four swelling projections from a central square, which in turn extend into narrow arms terminating in faceted rectangles. One of the projections serves as a suspension loop, extending upwards from the top of the pendant; it is pierced horizontally, though iron survives in the hole. Signs of gilding remain. A worn medieval copper alloy harness pendant with no visible decoration surviving. The main rectangular plate has been bent to a right angle, probably plough damage. From the centre of the top edge projects an oval transverse suspension loop with a central circular piercing. Nick Griffiths [(FRG Datasheet 5) dates these to the 13th century.

A copper alloy decorative harness pendant with traces of gilding and enamelling. Lozenge shaped, with a tripartite lobe (fleur de lis or shell) extending from each of the four straight sides. Three of the points of the lozenge have traces of knops. The perforated loop is at right angles to the mount. The pendant still retains traces of gilding on the lobes, the shank and edges.
