Medieval copper alloy composite buckle. Oval frame with projecting triangular lip and integral forked spacer and narrowed bar with pin missing. The front and back plates were originally soldered to forks but are now missing. See Egan and Pritchard (1991), p81, fig.49, no.330 for a similar example which they dates to the second half of 14 century AD to early 15th century

Medieval copper alloy oval buckle frame with loop of D-sectioned pin, with offset narrowed bar and thickened outside edge. The belt fitting consists of a simple strip of metal, with an oblong cut out to allow for the, now missing, pin. This is passed throught the buckle frame and riveted with two domed rivets. The surface is too pitted to know whther there was any gilding etc. Cf. Dress Accessories no. 274. Late 13th – 14th century.

A complete cast copper-alloy hooked tag dating to the post-medieval period. The item is flat backed and essentially has three sections to it - a sub-rectangular loop adjoining an openwork decorative roundel which in turn adjoins a narrow tapering hook which is broken. The rectangular lug is plain, the central roundel has an openwork design around it that resembles a stylised flower. The hook has two moulded bands around its widest section.
