Copper alloy Roman Provincial bronze coin struck for Hadrian (AD 117-38) at Odessus in Moesia (modern city of Varna in Bulgaria on the western coast of the Black Sea), dating to c.AD 125-128. RPC III, p. 98, no. 772 (three specimens recorded, five on the online version of RPC III). 22mm; 6.5g.
Obverse: [ΑΥΤ]ΟΚΡΑΤωΡ ΑΔΡΙ[ΑΝOС]; laureate and draped bust right
Reverse: OΔHCEI-TωN; Heracles standing left, resting on club with his right hand, lion skin over left arm
Measurements: 22mm in diameter and 6.5g in weight.

A copper alloy Roman nummus, probably of Theodosius II, dating to the period AD 425-435 (Reece Period 22). The reverse type depicts a cross in a wreath. RIC X, p. 275, cf. 440ff. It is 10.2mm diameter, 1.5mm thick and 0.85g.
This is only the third coin of its type recorded from Britain - see SUR-13EB9C and SF-17EB49. These coins are very common in the Eastern Mediterranean, where they were struck, but are very rare in the North-Western Roman Empire.

Obverse, cuirassed bust of emperor right with Greek inscription,[ΔΙΑΔΟV]ΜΕΝΙΑΝΟC Κ, transliterated as DIADOUMENIANOS C. Reverse, a bunch of grapes hanging, [ΒΥΖΑ]ΝΤΙΩΝ surrounding. Ref. SNG Copenhagan Thrace cf. 517 (reverse for coin of Caracalla).
Measurements: diameter: 19.48mm; thickness: 3.21mm and weight: 4.39g.

A Roman copper-alloy nummus of the House of Constantine (AD 306-361) - VRBS ROMA / Wolf and twins - dating to c. AD 333 (Reece Period 17). Mint of Arles. RIC VII, p. 274, no. 373var. The mintmark Wreath // (P)CON is not recorded, the standard mark being Wreath // PCONST. There does not appear to have been an ST at the end of the mintmark. This could be a die-engraver's error, or it might be a very good quality contemporary copy.

An incomplete cast lead bi-face token of Powell type 29 / 16 (words and shields). Probably imitative of 17th century trader's tokens.
Description : round and flat, coin-like in form. One face has an inscription in three lines that appears to read : (R/H)IC / GO : VIS: / (S/B)VRY all within a pelleted border. The reverse depicts a shield with an inverted chevron in the centre with symmetrically arranged lis, three below and six above, probably intended to be the grocers arm. The surface has a grey / cream colour.

A fragmented (in three pieces) late medieval debased silver halfpenny of Henry VI (first reign,1422-61). Leaf Issue dating to the period (1434-1435). Mint of Calais. All inscription illegible, with surface displaying substantial verdigris. North (1991) no.1481.
Measurements : diameter 13.4mm, thickness 0.4mm and weight 0.4g.
Discussion : found together in the wake of a potato harvester already in three pieces. The only reference to be found regarding the leaf in one quarter (bottom of lower right quarter in photo) is by Withers and Withers (2004 58).
