A Roman copper-alloy nummus of the House of Constantine (AD 306-361) - VRBS ROMA / Wolf and twins - dating to c. AD 333 (Reece Period 17). Mint of Arles. RIC VII, p. 274, no. 373var. The mintmark Wreath // (P)CON is not recorded, the standard mark being Wreath // PCONST. There does not appear to have been an ST at the end of the mintmark. This could be a die-engraver's error, or it might be a very good quality contemporary copy.

Copper alloy nummus of the House of Constantine - CONSTANTINOPOLIS / Victory of prow - probably dating to AD 337-40 (Reece Period 17). The mintmark is unclear, but appears to be R crescent [P-E] which is for Rome. Constantinopolis coins are struck for various Rome issues between 337 and 340, but is not recorded for the R crescent P issue (see RIC VIII, p. 251, nos. 47-9). A better specimen is required to confirm this type.

A copper-alloy nummus of Helena, dating to AD 337-41 (Reece period 17). Reverse legend reads PA[X PVBLICA]. Reverse shows Pax standing with branch and sceptre. Mint is Trier, - // TR(P) crescent. This mintmark is interesting as it is for a post-April 340 issue in which coins of Helena did not figure. Is it possible that a small number of coins for Helena were struck, or is this a contemporary copy? Obverse legend is illegible. Obverse shows an unclear bust right.
