A silver coin of Enrique II of Castille (1369-79). The main identifying feature is the crowned En monogram on the obverse. The denomination itself is uncertain but appears to be a 'real de 3 maravedi' (or just possibly a 'real de 1/2 maravedi' which is billon rather than silver). The mint remains uncertain.

A Secondary phase Middle Saxon silver-plated copper alloy cut sceat of Series J (type 37) of c.710-725. The obverse shows two facing busts; the reverse a whorl of birds. The bust style is considered by Metcalf to be imitative in that the he sees the official issues as having a mouth formed of two pellets sloping towards the left, whereas these slope in the other direction. The coin was probably minted somewhere in the immediate Humber region.

A silver early medieval coin, probably a Merovingian denier dating c.725-50 and possibly minted in Poiters St.Hilaire (ancient Petavis) although this is uncertain. For similar coins from this mint see Depeyrot 2001, pl. 5, Poiters St-HIl nos 3 and 4. However, while the reverse type on these matches this coin, the bust here is of much better workmanship.
