An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle (assymetrical) of medieval date (c.1350-1450). Description: The buckle has a double-looped frame consisting of a trapezoidal loop and an oval loop divided by a slightly raised central bar which projects either side of the frame and is now missing its pin. The trapezoidal loop is decorated on its long end with a transverse groove and crimped edge. The oval loop has convex, domed crescentic body, leaving a relatively small circular space. A handmade probable compacted bone ash post-medieval cupel, of 16th or 17th century date. Description: The cupel is roughly circular in plan and is very thick. It has a lightly dished upper surface and a flat bottom, the upper rim of the dishing is heavily abraded.
