A Roman enamelled copper-alloy umbonate brooch. The brooch is circular with ten lugs around the perimeter. The brooch is decorated with an outer band of blue enamel and an inner band of green enamel separated by a band of reserve metal. A fragment of a copper-alloy purse frame dating to the late medieval or early post-medieval period. The frame is crescent-shaped in cross-section and decorated on the front with the letters AG, followed by what appears to be the letter L. Together they may have spelt AGL[A]. These letters are formed from a Latinised version of a Hebrew phrase, Atha Gebri Leilan Adonai, meaning 'Thou art mighty forever, O Lord'. During the Middle Ages these words were considered to be a powerful charm against fever. This object was referred to in Williams (2018, 4; no. 8)

A post-medieval/modern gun-flint from a flintlock musket. The flint is sub-square in plan with each side sloping down to the base. The flintlock was introduced in the middle of the 16th century but it was not until the reign of William III that the flintlock became the main regulation firearm for the British Army. The knapped flint was used within the musket mechanism to produce a spark and would last between 20-25 shots before it had to be replaced.

An incomplete copper-alloy bird brooch dating to the early Roman period. The brooch is in the form of a bird in flight with wings outstretched. The wings are slender and recessed to take enamel. The back of the bird has a moulded triangular panel decorated with incised hatches. The tail is flared and has two recessed panels to take enamel but none now remains. The head is missing. Catchplate and lug on reverse.
