A silvered copper alloy Hod Hill brooch dating to the early Roman period. The head is rolled over and contains an axis bar for a hinged pin. The pin is intact but missing its tip. The bow is triangular in plan with a rib down the centre forming two panels. The panels are slightly arched so that the central rib forms an apex. There is a reel below the bow. The foot is triangular in plan, flat and has a reeled foot at the base. There is a catchplate on the reverse.
