A post-medieval, cast, copper-alloy pipe tamper. The object consists of a circular sectioned shaft with an axe-head terminal. The axe-head is crecentric at one end and hammer-shaped at the other. The shaft expands outwards towards the base and is decorated with three transverse ridges. Both the hammer-head and the base of the shaft could be used to tamp the tobacco. As the diameter of the bowls of clay pipes increased with time, so the diameter of the pipe tampers increased. A copper alloy Roman Polden Hill brooch of flat wing ends type (AD 80-120). Wing ends have perforated end caps. Spring and and pin missing. Pierced crest on top of head. Bow taper. Two narrow mouldings at foot. Each ring has five longitudinal ribs catchplate intact, folded pin rest.

A pair of copper alloy late Roman or early Anglo Saxon tweezers with narrow upper body expanding to the blades; each end is folded over to make the pincers. Upper area of blades decorated on both sides with closely set parallel grooves at the top; ring-and-dot stamped motifs. Probably c.5th to 6th century AD.

A copper alloy early Anglo Saxon disc brooch fragment, c.50% extant. There is no sign of a pin or catchplate so it may be that the object is a mount rather than a brooch. Circular in shape with 2 circular mouldings at the centre with four spiral roundals. Traces of possible gilding and enamel.

A copper alloy Roman finger ring, circa 2nd Century AD, an oval shaped flat bezel with traces of enamelling. The bezel is 15mm in length and 8mm in width with a single "crenallation" in the centre. The panels either side would likely have held enamel. The frame is "D" shaped in section. The whole is 20mm in diameter.
