A copper-alloy frame from a Medieval single-loop buckle. The frame is roughly 'D-shaped', extending to a pointed pin rest (off-centre) with transverse groove. The sides are of sub-rectangular section and the axis bar is offset. The piece measures 16.3mm long, 18.9mm wide, 1.9mm thick and weighs 1.26g. Frames of this form were found at Meols, Cheshire, where they were assigned a late 14th century date (Griffiths et al 2007: 88/pl. 14, cf. nos. 494-497).

A copper-alloy strap loop, dating from the Medieval period. The artefact consists of a roughly 'D-shaped' frame, the curved upper and lower sides becoming horizontal a short distance from the vertical inner side. The point at which this transition occurs is marked by a pair of inward-pointing projections. The frame is of sub-rectangular section, the width and thickness gradually increasing towards the centre of the vertical outer side. An incomplete copper-alloy double-oval buckle, probably dating from the Late Medieval to early post-Medieval periods. The surviving side of the frame is roughly oval, its expanded vertical outer side decorated with five pairs of double transverse grooves and a corresponding scalloped edge. The axis bar is of trapezoidal section, the pin is missing and only a small portion of the other side of the frame remains. The buckle measures 20.5mm long, 29.6mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 3.64g.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of Dolphin or 'T-shaped' variety, probably dating from the 1st century AD. The intact wing is of semicircular section and has a rounded end. At the centre there are the remains of a perforated lug. The remaining piece of the bow - the rest has been lost in antiquity - is of triangular section. The brooch measures 15.7mm long, 18.5mm wide and weighs 2.33g.

A fragment of a copper-alloy artefact, probably representing a terminal from a Late Roman penannular bracelet or armlet. The surviving piece is of oval section, its widest point being at the inner end, where there is a vertical face. The width and height gradually decrease, towards the point where the object was broken in antiquity. The upper surface is decorated with a series of transverse grooves. The piece measures 19mm long, up to 7mm wide, 4.7mm thick and weighs 3.44g.

The surface of one of the sub-circular discs bears a privy mark containing the letters 'T' and 'F', separated from each other by the shaft of a cross, which has an interlaced base. A folded connecting strip joins this disc to the other, which is blank. The artefact measures 25.4mm long, 21.6mm wide, 3.3mm thick and weighs 7.88g.

The only design appears to be a relief-stamped privy mark containing the letters 'R' and 'B', which are separated by a vertical shaft with looped base. A folded connecting strip joins the two discs. The object measures 25.9mm long, 21.2mm wide, 3.8mm thick (undamaged part) and weighs 8.44g.

A lead disc from a post-Medieval cloth seal. The disc is sub-oval and retains part of its connecting strip. The upper surface bears a relief-stamped crowned royal shield as employed from the reign of James I (1603-1625) to James II (1685-1688) and indicates that this was probably an alnage seal. The piece measures 21.1mm long, 15.6mm wide, 1.2mm thick and weighs 2.34g.

An incomplete copper-alloy pin (probably). The style and colour of this piece suggest a possible Roman to Medieval date. The head is sub-globular at the top and this tapers smoothly into the inverted-conical lower half. A fragment of the pin shaft protrudes from the base of the head. The heavily corroded artefact measures 18.2mm long, up to 7.4mm wide and weighs 3.04g.

Behind the frame are the remains of an integrally cast forked spacer, the inner edges of which are stepped. The lower side of this spacer is intact, but bent, while the upper side has lost its tapering point.
