A complete ceramic spindle whorl of Roman date, c.AD 43 - 410. The spindle whorl is fashioned from a reused piece of greyware ceramic and is circular with a central perforation running through it. The edges are slightly beveled. The object is 37.1mm in diameter, 10.1mm thick and weighs 14.6g. The perforation is 14.6mm in diameter.

A complete lead spindle whorl of Medieval date (AD 1066-1500). The object is sub-circular, 28mm in diameter, and bi-convex in cross-section with a single central sub-circular aperture with a diameter of 11.55mm. Both faces have an integrally cast decorative pattern of a repeating raised radiating lines and pellets. The surface is smooth but heavily worn, with some evidence of post-depositional damage in the form of irregular, incised lines. The metal is a mid-cream in colour. A complete cast lead whorl of Medieval date. The whorl is circular and biconical with a circular central perforation. The whorl is decorated with an integrally cast pattern, the same on each face, consisting of four raised lines radiating from the centre, with three regularly spaced pellets in between each line. 3 lead spindle whorls. #1 is 32.6mm in diameter, 11.3mm thick and weighs 42.0g. It is biconical in shape with ends of the cones cut off, with a central hole approximately 10mm in diameter running through it.
