Cast lead spindle whorl dating to the Medieval period. It is circular in plan and biconical in shape. There is a central circular perforation. One face of the object is bears the inscription OWNA(.)OIV. There is one pellet below each letter circling the perforation. The other surface has the inscription AYVYOX. There are pellets below, above and in between the letters. The outer rim has a raised moulded border as does the rim of the central perforation. It has a mid grey patina. This object is discussed in Standley (2016, 283).

An incomplete lead alloy undecorated spindle whorl dating to the Medieval to Post-Medieval period (c.AD 1200-1700). A small fragment is missing from the outer circumference of the whorl. The object is circular in plan, with a hole running through its middle. In section, the spindle whorl is D-shaped. Its surface has a creamy light grey and brown patina and the inner surface has a cream patina.  It is hard to date spindle whorls as their form has remained unchanged since the Roman period.

The object has a creamy white patina with flecks of a lgiht brown colour irregularly dotted along both faces similar to the light brown colour of the inner surface of the whorl.  It is hard to date spindle whorls as their form has remained unchanged since the Roman period.
