Both surfaces bear worn traces of raised decoration with a series of unclear elements arranged around the central aperture. The metal has a mid-grey/white patina and is worn. The spindle whorl is damaged on one side, and is 30mm in diameter, 10mm thick and weighs 39.71g. The perforation has a diameter of 10mm suggesting a medieval date or later.

One face has a midpoint groove around the circumference, possibly caused by shrinkage during casting, and there is an old dent at one side. The item is completely covered in creamy-white patination.
