An incomplete Roman pottery spindle whorl. Only half of the spindle whorl survives. The circular spindle whorl is oval in section with flat faces and the remains of a central circular hole. The fabric is light grey with a dark grey exterior on one face. There are very frequent sub-round sandy inclusions and occasional sparkly inclusions which are possibly mica. The diameter is 45.3mm, the diameter of the central hole is 7.9mm and the weight is 16.04g.
