A complete cast lead spindle whorl of uncertain date. The spindle whorl is plano-convex with a flat base and domed top and a central perforation running through it. Both faces are undecorated. The metal is a mid greyish-brown colour and is worn. The spindle whorl is 27.8mm in diameter, 7.3mm thick and weighs 28.9g. Lead spindle whorls were commonly used from the Iron Age through to the post-medieval period and are difficult to date with any certainty. Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 30mm in diameter and 8mm deep. The whorl is in a fair condition with a beige patina and weighs 52.13 grams. It is rectangular in section with a 10mm diameter hole. It has traces of a raised pattern of spheres on one side and which may appear on the other although it is rather worn.

A circular cast lead-alloy item, probably a spindle whorl. The whorl is very crude and approximately plano-convex in form, with an irregularly flat base and a slightly flattened top. There are striations on the upper face. Damage is also apparent in the form of two sub-triangular gouges: one along the longer edge, the other on the lower face off the spindle hole. The object measures 27.6mm in diameter with an off-centred spindle hole of 8.5mm. The whorl is 7.6mm thick and weighs 21.9 grams. It is undecorated. Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 29mm in diameter and 14mm thick. The object is in good condition and is a creamy white colour. It is very well cast and very geometric in form. The object is round with a central circular hole and is rectangular in section. Each surface is decorated with a series of raised sub rectangular forms whose outer edges echo the shape of the circle. Each shape resembles a stretched pyramid with its point cut off. It probably dates to the late medieval or Tudor period.
