Between the inne out and outer border lines are raised triangles that radiate from with the centre. Within each triangle and the space between is a single pellet. The object has a dark gre patina.

The object is circular in plan, with a hole running through its middle. In section, the spindle whorl is D-shaped. The object has a creamy white patina with flecks of a lgiht brown colour irregularly dotted along both faces similar to the light brown colour of the inner surface of the whorl.
It is hard to date spindle whorls as their form has remained unchanged since the Roman period.

A complete lead / lead alloy spindle whorl probably dating to the medieval period (c.AD 1200-1500).
The object is biconical in shape with shallow sides and a rounded edge with a large central perforation measuring 8.2mm in diameter. Both faces are decorated; one face presents five pairs of raised triangular lines that protrude from the centre, with a large pellet situated between each pair. The other face also presents five pairs of raised triangular that protrude from the centre with an inverted chevron between each pair. The object has a powdery cream patina.

The spindle whorl is circular in plan and rectangular in cross section, perforation running through it. The upper the upper surface is slightly domed, whereas the lower is flat. The spindle whorl has no decoration.
