A lead alloy spindle whorl or weight. It is a truncated cone in shape, with smooth, slightly bowed in sides. The central hole is 7mm in diameter, and this may indicate that it is an early artefact. The hole curves out on the underside of the body and so gives the illusion of being a bigger diameter on the base, although it isn't.  It has an even white patina. It is paralleled on the database by LIN-7BE15A and LANCUM-51DBD8, amongst others, which are dated to AD 700-1000 Dimensions: 18mm diameter and 12mm high, the central hole is 7mm diameter and it weighs 13.13g

A well preserved lead alloy spindle whorl. It is a shallow bi conical shape. One side is flatter in section than the other, and this face is decorated with two rings of carefully distributed raised dots. The design on the other face, which is steeper in section, is more worn but consists of crossing lines forming interlocked triangles, within a border around the edge and centre. The shape suggests Walton Rogers Type C, used from AD 1100-1600 Dimensions: 31mm diameter and 9mm deep, with a central hole 9mm in diameter Finders ref 1953

A lead alloy weight or possible spindle whorl. It has one flat side, the other being slightly domed. There is no decoration, and the artefact has an even light brown patina. The central hole is 13mm in diameter, at which size may suggest that it is more likely a weight than a spindle whorl, supported because the thickness of the item varies considerably as can be seen from the side, this may have been difficult to spin. Without any decoration it is difficult to date closely. Dimensions: 26m diameter and 8mm thick, the central hole is 13mm diameter and it weighs 34g Finders …
