Roman to Medieval (1st to 15th centuries) spindle whorl: The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and D shaped in cross section. The central hole is circular with an internal diameter of 9.6mm. The upper face is domed and the lower face is flat. On the outer face is decorated with two arrow shaped motifs made up of three lines which join at the rim of the central perforation.
