A complete lead Weight/Spindle whorl of dating from the Roman to the Post-Medieval period (c. AD 43-1550). The object is cylindrical in shape with a central circular perforation through it. There is no apparent decoration on any side. There is a significant pit on one side cause pre or post deposition. Helen Geake writes: "Dating of lead whorls is difficult.
