2 undecorated loom-weights of uncertain specific date range. Both relatively wide bore, flat on both faces and rounded along circumference. One appears to have denuded around circumference more than other. See photocopies on hard copy sheet. Dr Kevin Leahy writes: these objects were described as 'loom weights' which is highly unlikely and they are best seen as being lead spindle whorls.

A lead spindle whorl of Medieval date, about AD 1100 - 1600. It fits into Walton Rogers Form C, being bi-conical or biconvex with a median band. Both faces of the whorl are decorated with integrally cast raised rounded blobs; two circumferential rows on each face, with sixteen blobs in each row. The central hole has a diameter of 11.6mm. The whorl has a smooth grey patina. It is 30mm diameter, 11.3mm thick and 42.2g.
