An incomplete lead or lead alloy bi convex decorated spindle whorl, of probable Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1450). The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and lentoid in section. Decoration detail on the upper and lower faces consists of irregularly placed chevrons pointing outwards, forming a rough star design. The points do not line up at the middle. The central hole is circular in shape and has been cast / set roughly centrally. It has a internal diameter of 9.9 mm. An incomplete stone flat or discoidal spindle whorl, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (AD 43 - AD 1650). Around 50% of the spindle whorl is present.The spindle whorl is semi-circular, and rectangular in cross section. The central hole is sub circular in shape and has been drilled slightly off central, from both sides. The internal diameter of the hole measures 5.6 mm wide. Both the upper and lower faces are flat. A complete, but reused cast lead alloy papal bulla of Pope Boniface VIII, pope from AD 1294 to AD 1303). The obverse bears an inscription of BONI FA[ ]VS PP:VIII, split into three lines, identifying it as a bulla of Pope Boniface VIII. Like the obverse, the pelleted border around the outside has mostly been erased by the edge being hammered out and folded over. A biconical lead spindle whorl (overall diameter: 34mm) with central perforation (diameter: 10mm) that does not narrow more at one end. Both faces are decorated. On one side, there is what appears to be a raised branch-like design with one line splitting into three towards the outer edge of the artefact with occasional dots in between. The spindle whorl is circular in plan and in profile it is a sub-conical shape with the tip missing due to the central perforation. This perforation is 9.1mm in diameter. The 'base' of the object has a high-relief linear pattern forming a geometric star shape around the perforation. The upper surface is obliquely angled and is uneven. The object has a mid grey patina.

The spindle whorl is a bi-conical shape with a prounced ridge around the circumference of the whorl. The faces of the whorl also have high-relief ridges and pellets as decoration. The whorl has a central vertical hole which is circular in plan. The hole is 10mm in diameter. Some of the edges are slightly abraded which reveals a dark grey material which appears to corrode in layers. Otherwise the surface is a grey/cream colour.

The spindle whorl is slightly biconical in cross section, but appears at first glance to be conical, except the base is tapered slightly in profile. The surface of the base is slightly concave. In the centre is a vertical circular hole which is 8.49mm diametre. The whorl is circular in plan with a smooth surface, except for two cracks/indentations. The whorl is made of a fine grained, laminated silty mudstone.
