Late Medieval/Post Medieval lead spindle-whorl, cast biconical (diameter 29mm) with relief decoration on one face comprising four lines radiating from a central perforation with concentric line of bordering pellets between and the other face with eight radiating lines and two to four pellets between each. Weighs 32.83g, 1.16oz. Cf. similarly elaborate example from Mellor and Pearce (1981), fig.51, no.71.
