A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date, c.AD 1100 - 1700. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a central perforation running through it. Both surfaces bear worn traces of raised decoration with a series of triangular and cross-shaped elements arranged around the central aperture. The metal has a mid-grey/white patina and is worn. The spindle whorl is 28mm in diameter, 8mm thick and weighs 32.39g. The perforation has a diameter of 10mm suggesting a medieval date or later.

A complete Post-Medieval lead Spindle Whorl, dating to AD 1500 - 1600. The object is biconical with a central circular moulded aperture of Walton Rogers form C2. One side bears an abraded moulded decoration of pellets. The other side is undecorated and smooth. There is an overall off white patina to both sides of the object
