A plain lead-alloy spindle whorl of possible early medieval to medieval date, 700-1100AD. The spindle whorl is disc-shaped with a convex upper surface, curved sides and a flat lower surface. It has an even grey-white patina,and the central aperture measures 9mm, suggesting an early medieval date. It measures 32mm in diameter, is 7mm in width and weighs 39.63g.

A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1500. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a central circular perforation running through it. Both faces are decorated, one is decorated with a repeating saltire design, each salitire is flanked by a vertical moulded line, in total the pattern is repeated five times.
