Lead-alloy spindle whorl, dating from the medieval period (AD1200-1500). The whorl is made up of a central bi-conical body that appears to be decorated with raised lines in a zig-zag pattern. Medieval, c. AD1200-1500, lead spindle whorl, low-biconical, one face bears a pattern of raised angled lines, the other rows of raised pellets. Around the outer edge is a low flange. Through the centre is an irregular 10.3mm, diameter hole. The whorl is highly asymmetrical and may have been mis-cast. Diameter 28.1mm, Height 8.6mm, Mass 20.36g.

A lead spindle whorl dating to the Post-Medieval period (AD 1500-1600). Cast biconical whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 7.63mm. Moulded relief decoration on one side comprises faint lines forming rhomboid compartments. The other side bears similar faint decoration. A flat circumferential rim appears where the two halves meet. Patinated overall. Foreman (2018) has suggested the mass was intended to ply cord. He also suggests that deep nicks on one side, extending from the edge, might be tying notches.
